La banda sueca OSUKARU, liderada por el guitarrista y teclista Oz Osukaru, vuelve a la carga con una nueva obra titulada Starbound. Este ya es su décimo álbum de una carrera que empezara allá por el 2010 en la que nos han dejado grandes discos y grandísimas canciones, pero he de decir que, en este disco, la verdad, se han superado. Lo vais a comprobar a continuación pues analizaremos este disco del que se tiene mucho que decir y además bueno.
El tema que da comienzo a esta obra no podía ser mejor, con Starbound que da título al disco. Un cañonazo de Hard Rock melódico bárbaro, con unos punteos acojonantes y una rítmica brutal. ¡La parte vocal es tremenda!, con mucha fuerza y donde el vocalista Fredik Werner se desmelena en cada estrofa hasta golpearnos con un estribillo impactante, arropado por unos coros fantásticos. Uno de los puntos importantes y más cañeros del disco.
Le sigue otra pista con mucho “punch” como es Rise Of The Underdog, donde de nuevo ganan mucho protagonismo las guitarras, que suenan con unos riffs vertiginosos hasta llegar ya al “bridge” y el estribillo donde se apoderan de la melodía, consiguiendo un aire más Aor, otra muestra más de su deslumbrante artillería.
A continuación, escuchamos su primer single presentado Tainted Heart, convirtiéndose en ese típico tema que entra de maravilla gracias a un estribillo muy adictivo y comercial que hará las delicias del personal. Remarcar un buen solo de guitarra y un “bridge” con unos buenos coros que redondean este perfecto tema.
Después de estos tres disparos directos a nuestra cabeza, cogemos respiro con Somewhere, Sometime, Somehow, un medio tiempo de puro Rock melódico con mucha clase y buenas armonías vocales en el estribillo. Incluso se permiten el lujo de meter un pequeño toque de saxo que siempre adorna esta clase de canciones con una elegancia indiscutible.
En Joker (In The House Of Cards) nos encontramos de nuevo con muy buenos gestos de guitarras, riffs creativos que paladearemos como manjares y un estribillo con el mismo patrón que en temas anteriores, más melódico y siempre acompañado por unos coros bien conjugados.
Go For The Legends suena más fresco, con algo más de velocidad, aquí se decantan por el sonido del más clásico del Rock melódico de guitarras calibradas en su justa medida, con unos adornos de teclados elegantísimos y metiendo efectos de estudio con sonido de público, como si de un directo se tratara. Muy atractivo.
Ahora viene un corte superior como es Shout It Out, con unos ritmos de guitarras flipantes y unos solos tremendos en cuanto a la parte musical se refiere que nos dejaran alucinados. He de destacar también la parte vocal que es espeluznante con toda esa garra y fuerza de Fredrik Werner, quien sobresale y ¡de qué manera! En un tema corto pero intenso, de los que más me enganchan de este álbum.
Avanzamos y escuchamos On The Streets Again que suena a clásico Hard Rock sin complicaciones ni grandes alardes. De nuevo cabe destacar sus buenos coros, aunque noto que algo le falta para ser redondeado.
Con Within The Depths Of Love nos espera una balada desgarradora en su sentimiento, con unos teclados muy Aor y donde Werner una vez más se deja el alma poniendo toda la carne en el asador, una interpretación sobresaliente en esta estremecedora balada.
Y el disco es culminado con All Up, otro de esos temas que entran bien, un medio tiempo cargado de armonías vocales, coros y una buena profusión de teclados para dar carpetazo a esta obra.
Este nuevo disco de Osukaru es un terremoto lleno de mucha calidad y han cimentado sus pilares en un grandísimo trabajo de guitarras, unos coros de deslumbrantes y temas realmente potentes con mucha energía y melodía. Esta banda sueca sinceramente no deja de sorprendernos. ¡Recomendado!!!

The Swedish band OSUKARU, led by guitarist and keyboardist Oz Osukaru, is back with a new work titled Starbound. This is already their tenth album of a career that began back in 2010 in which they have left us great albums and great songs, but I have to say that, in this album, the truth, they have surpassed themselves. You are going to check it next because we will analyze this album of which there is much to say and also good.
The theme that begins this work could not be better, with Starbound that gives title to the album. The vocal part is tremendous, with a lot of strength and where the vocalist Fredik Werner goes wild in each verse until hitting us with a powerful chorus, supported by fantastic choruses. One of the most important and powerful points of the album.
It is followed by another track with a lot of «punch» as Rise Of The Underdog, where again the guitars gain much prominence, sounding with dizzying riffs until the «bridge» and the chorus where they take over the melody, getting a more Aor air, another sample of their dazzling artillery.
Next, we listen to their first single, Tainted Heart, becoming that typical song that enters in a great way thanks to a very addictive and commercial chorus that will delight the audience. To highlight a good guitar solo and a «bridge» with some good choruses that round off this perfect theme.
After these three direct shots to our head, we take a break with Somewhere, Sometime, Somehow, a half time of pure melodic Rock with a lot of class and good vocal harmonies in the chorus. They even allow themselves the luxury of adding a little touch of saxophone that always adorns this kind of songs with an unquestionable elegance.
In Joker (In The House Of Cards) we find again with very good guitar gestures, creative riffs that we will savor as delicacies and a chorus with the same pattern as in previous songs, more melodic and always accompanied by a well-conjugated chorus.
Go For The Legends sounds fresher, with a little more speed, here they opt for the sound of the most classic melodic Rock with guitars calibrated in their right measure, with some very elegant keyboard ornaments and putting studio effects with audience sound, as if it were a live performance. Very attractive.
Now comes a superior cut like Shout It Out, with some amazing guitar rhythms and tremendous solos that will leave us hallucinating. I must also highlight the vocal part that is creepy with all that grit and strength of Fredrik Werner, who stands out and how! In a short but intense song, one of the ones that hook me the most in this album.
We move forward and listen to On The Streets Again, which sounds like classic Hard Rock without complications or great boasts. Again it is worth mentioning their good choruses, although I notice that something is missing to be rounded.
With Within The Depths Of Love a heartbreaking ballad awaits us, with some very Aor keyboards and where Werner once again leaves his soul putting all the meat on the grill, an outstanding performance in this thrilling ballad.
And the disc is culminated with All Up, another of those themes that enter well, a half time loaded with vocal harmonies, choirs and a good profusion of keyboards to close this work.
This new Osukaru’s album is an earthquake full of a lot of quality and they have cemented their pillars in a great guitar work, some dazzling choruses and really powerful themes with a lot of energy and melody. This Swedish band sincerely never ceases to amaze us, highly recommended!
