Los suecos 220 volt regresan con un nuevo trabajo titulado «Walking in starlight», Anders Engberg (ex-Therion ex-Lions Share), quien se unió a finales del 2012, es el nuevo vocalista de la banda. Éste es su primer álbum con la banda escandinava. Completan la formación Thomas Drevin y Mats Karlsson a las guitarras, y Peter Hermansson a la batería.
220 Volt (formados en 1979) fueron una de las bandas top de la escena escandinava de los 80’s y realizaron su álbum debut en Junio de 1983 en la multinacional CBS. El grupo editaría cinco discos entre 1983-1988.
La ultima grabación en los 80 fue fue el álbum Eye to Eye que fue su mejor venta discográfica a nivel internacional llegando a entrar en los playlist de la MTV y radios de todo el mundo. Fue producido por el legendario Max Norman (Ozzy/Megadeth/Y&T etc..), quien también ha mezclado 5 temas de “Walking In Starlight”.
La reputación de la banda se vio fortalecida por su continuidad y sus enérgicos shows tanto encabezando sus propios conciertos o teloneando a bandas como AC/DC o Nazareth entre otros. En 1985, 220 Volt descargaron su directo ante 80.000 personas en Varsovia, Polonia. El concierto fue retransmitido por tv polaca, uno de los primeros conciertos retransmitidos por tv de una banda de hard rock en el telón de acero.
220 Volt se separaron en el 1992, pero editaron un álbum en estudio en 1997, Lethal Illusion.
El cuarteto estuvo activo durante un tiempo entre el 2002-2008 con miembros anteriores y editando dos trabajos, «Volume 1» y el directo «Made in Jamtland»

220 Volt (founded 1979) was among the top hard rock acts in Scandinavia during the 80’s and released their first, self titled album on CBS in June 1983. The band then went on to release five albums between 1983-1988. The last one recorded in the 80’s was the album Eye to Eye which is their best selling album internationally, and it was also on heavy rotation on MTV and many radio stations around the world. It was produced by legendary producer Max Norman (Ozzy/Megadeth/Y&T etc..) and who also has mixed 5 tracks for “Walking In Starlight”.
The band’s reputation was built on frequent album releases and energetic live shows. Besides performing their own headline shows, the Swedes have also toured as support for AC/DC and Nazareth among others. In 1985, 220 Volt performed in front of 80.000 people in Warsaw, Poland. The show was broadcasted live on Polish TV, among the first ever TV-shows in the eastern block to feature a hard rock band.
